Why we have withdrawn from Open Government Partnership Malta

The Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation has formally withdrawn from Open Government Partnership Malta following two years of attempted collaboration with Malta’s government.

We remain grateful for Open Government Partnership’s (OGP) trust in us in assisting its engagement with Government to ensure Malta was able to retain its OGP membership despite its years of inaction and passive disengagement in the project.

In the interests of justice and rule of law in Malta, we remain open to collaboration on the effective implementation of the rule of law recommendations by various bodies and institutions, particularly the recommendations of the Public Inquiry into Daphne Caruana Galizia’s assassination.
