We can now offer legal advice and support to journalists

The Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation has launched the Legal Support Programme, offering ongoing legal advice and support to journalists from independent newsrooms in Malta.

This programme is being led by Dr Therese Comodini Cachia and is funded by UNESCO’s Global Media Defence Fund. Today, the Foundation held its first workshop with editors, journalists, academics and journalism students in Malta, on the threats against journalists and the financial, legal and psychological support that is available to them. The Legal Support Programme’s first workshop was led by Flutura Kusari from the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF).
